Carlisle United's League One trip to Barnsley has been rearranged.

A new date has been confirmed for the game at Oakwell which was postponed last month because of the home side's international call-ups.

Carlisle will now take on the Tykes on Tuesday, January 16 at 7.45pm.

It will now be United's fourth game of the new year and will come at a time Paul Simpson is hoping to reinforce his squad with new signings.

Carlisle say tickets bought for the original game will be valid for the rearranged fixture.

"If you can't make the rearranged game and need a refund, tickets must be returned to the Brunton Park ticket office before 5pm on Friday, January 12," United added.

Further information on refunds can be sought by emailing ticket.printing@carlisleunited.co.uk.

Barnsley currently sit seventh in the League One table, with United 22nd.
