WE shared the news that The Lanes Shopping Centre in Carlisle has said that it is 'thrilled' by the success of its Bingo and Bluey meet and greet.

The shopping centre in Carlisle's city centre gave locals the chance to meet their favourite characters from the animated television series 'Bluey' on Wednesday, April 3.

The event proved to be extremely popular among locals as queues in The Lanes sprawled from the outside of Debenhams, where the meet and greet was held, to Primark.

Here's what readers thought.

Ann Broad said: "My granddaughter Isla loved it and the wait wasn't too long once the queue started moving. Well done The Lanes."

Claire Taylor said: "Never seen The Lanes so busy," and Rachael Johnston added: "My two loved it, one a bit too much and didn't want to leave, queue wasn't bad as we got there early."

Katie Carter commented: "Love this Australian cartoon, my grandchildren love it."

Denise Louise added: "We went and came home, no guarantee to see them due to the queue backed up to Primark at 1.30pm."

Christine Elliott said: "Our granddaughter loved it. We queued for an hour and a half altogether. We started queuing at 10.30am however, Bluey and Bingo weren’t due to appear until 11am. We were at Next when they left for a 20-minute break and were back at 12pm. Well done The Lanes."
