World class still life artist Tim Gustard is the feature of a brand new exhibition in Greystoke Ghyll.

For just over two weeks, Beckstones Art Gallery will showcase 27 new masterpieces from Mr Gustard.

Each piece has been a labour of love for the last two years and show off his notoriously detailed and high-quality work.

Mr Gustard's portfolio is full of paintings in which he has used silver, glass, porcelain, flowers and sometimes reflected self-portraits.

Each object is portrayed with a realism that challenges comprehension, so precisely observed and effectively arranged that the illusion of real space between them becomes the undeniable craft of one of the finest still life artists today.

Despite his international renown, Mr Gustard has made Cumbria his home since 1997, currently residing in Stainton near Penrith.

Not merely a studio, his home is a sanctuary where he is supported by his wife Marion.

Mrs Gustard helps with suggestions on composition, the crafting of titles, and constructive critique to maintain his high standards.

Beckstones Gallery and Mr Gustard have a long-established partnership that exceeds 27 years.

His reputation has spread across local, national, and international circles, driving art appreciators to travel from all over the world to view his work in the quaint gallery.

Mr Gustard's works have been displayed in grand exhibitions at respected art institutions like the Royal Academy, The Royal Institute of Oil Painters, and The Royal Scottish Society of Watercolour Painters.

Even the media have recognised Mr Gustard's prowess, having featured him in a TV documentary and articles for 'The Artist' magazine.

For this current exhibition, prices for the showcased art begin at £2,400.

His exhibition kicks off on Saturday, May 11 and is on until Monday, May 27.

The gallery will be open every day throughout that time from 10am until 5pm.
