HERE are our Pets of the Week, courtesy of Oak Tree Animals' Charity.

MONA

Meet Mona, a lovely crossbreed lady who's approx. 4 years old.

A sweet, smiling girl who needs a few slow introductions before she feels comfortable with people. Once she has built up that bond with someone, you get a big welcoming smile, and lots of bum wiggles, and she will roll on her back to get a tummy rub.

Mona loves her walks and goofing around in our runs so will need a secure garden where she can play freely. She would be best suited to an area that is not too built up.

This beautiful girl will make a very loyal and loving companion for someone who can understand her needs.

We are also looking for an adult-only home and for Mona to be the only pet.

If you want to find out more information about Mona please call 01228 560082 and speak to a member of our Small Animal Team or email: smallanimalteam@oaktreeanimals.org.uk between 10am and 4pm.

BASIL

Handsome Basil is 10 months old and came from a household with a number of other cats. We've learned that he is more confident when there is another cat.

Basil is currently in one of our amazing foster homes and we have found that he is responding well to a quiet home environment and beginning to enjoy having human company.

Basil could live with children aged 15+. He has previously been an indoor cat and therefore has no traffic awareness. As he is only 10 months old, we would like a home that could offer outdoor access when he is ready.

If you want to find out more information about Basil please call 01228 560082 and speak to a member of our Small Animal Team or email: smallanimalteam@oaktreeanimals.org.uk between 10am and 4pm.

Catios: have you considered getting a cat but are worried about them getting lost or injured on roads? Catios provide an outdoor space, normally attached to your house so that your cat can have safe outdoor time. They can be as simple or elaborate as your budget allows. You can simply search online for Catios for more information, or check out Oak Tree’s partner ProtectaPet (www.protectapet.com) for cat fence barriers, enclosures, and Catios.
