TWO men in Cumbria have been arrested for several offences, including a trailer theft.
One man has since been released on bail and the other was remanded after appearing in court.
A Cumbria Police Rural Crime Team spokesperson said: "One benefit to boggy fields is when you're running off from the cops after driving a stolen vehicle into their patrol car, you're easier to catch.
"Cracking work from our colleagues on the Firearms Support Unit last week led to the arrest of two males for several offences, including a trailer theft we're investigating from North Cumbria.
"CID colleagues then secured charges after consulting with CPS and ensured bail was denied.
"A stolen vehicle from Northumbria has been recovered and one male bailed whilst other investigations continue.
"Jamie Cliff, 30, of Melrose Drive Bishop Auckland appeared at court and was further remanded after being charged with aggravated vehicle taking, dangerous driving, failing to stop, disqualified driving, and driving with no insurance."
