A Cumbrian accountancy firm is celebrating after reaching its tenth year in business this month.

April 2024 marks ten years since local accountancy firm Tattersall Bailey started trading.

Established by Cumbrian Luke Tattersall and Mancunian Paul Bailey back in 2014, the business provides customers with accountancy services and tax solutions.

The business now employs 15 members of staff and supports almost 800 local businesses from their two offices in Cockermouth and Carlisle.

Staff celebrated the firm’s 10 years with branded cakes made by Maryport-based baker ‘Sweet Times’, and an anniversary balloon supplied by local shop ‘Wishes’.

Tattersall Bailey’s client base represents Cumbria’s diversity of trades, from farming and fisheries, construction and engineering, retail and hospitality through to training and education, and, of course, the nuclear industry.

Director Paul Bailey said: "It has been quite a journey, and one that we couldn’t have made with without our clients. We take pride in offering a friendly, straight-forward service for all types of individuals and businesses. I’m proud to be part of and represent the wealth that is our local economy."

Luke Tattersall added: "Our staff have been pivotal in the success of the business. We’re always looking for enthusiastic candidates to take on, and I look forward to seeing who will walk through our doors in the years to come. We’re a cloud-based accountancy practice which means we use the latest digital software to provide the best service we can. It is this – along with our fantastic team – that makes us what we are today."
