CUMBRIA Police have put a dispersal order in place in parts of Carlisle.
The dispersal order began today, April 20.
This will cover the city centre and Botchergate and has come into effect after law enforcement experienced high levels of antisocial behaviour last weekend.
A spokesperson said: "A dispersal order has been put in place by Carlisle police this weekend, which will cover Carlisle City centre and Botchergate.
"This is due to a quantity of anti-social behaviour incidents in the city centre last weekend.
"This will allow officers to remove individuals identified as causing anti-social behaviour and ensure they leave the city centre and stop them returning for up to 48 hours.
"Carlisle neighbourhood policing team are investigating a number of offences from last weekend, including criminal damage, public order and an assault.
"The suspects for these offences have been identified with the youngest being 12 years old.
"Carlisle police actively patrol the city centre on a daily basis and will continue to patrol these areas and target individuals committing offences and causing anti-social behaviour.
"We ask parents to ensure their children are not engaged in ASB if they are attending the city centre on a weekend, and speak to their children and highlight the consequences."
