AN abandoned tent in the Lake District led to the discovery of 'suspected illegal substances.'
Police officers responded to reports of the tent being left abandoned on Catbells and two bags of 'suspected illegal substances' were located with it.
A Cumbria Police spokesperson said: "PCSOs 5417 and 5375 responded to a report of a tent being abandoned on Catbells and two small bags containing suspected illegal substances being located with it.
"PCSO's 5417 and 5375 hiked up Catbells in the stormy weather conditions to retrieve the suspicious items."
