A pair of Carlisle United podcasts are set to clash in a charity football match.
The Last Ditch Podcast will take on fellow Carlisle United content creators Blue Army Podcast in the fixture that will take place at Gretna FC's Raydale Park on Saturday, May 18, with all the money raised by the match going to mental health charity Mind.
The Last Ditch Podcast is fronted by friends Oli Caig and Daniel Morris who have used their platform to interview past and present Carlisle United players such as Ryan Edmondson and Taylor Charters, plus Blues owners Tom and Alice Piatak and the News & Star's award-winning sports reporter Jon Colman.
He said: "A few months ago I messaged Dan about the idea.
"We saw other YouTube groups that have done charity matches in the past and we thought that it was definitely something that was attainable with the way that we were growing at the time, we were getting 200 subscribers over the course of a week or something like that.
"As the channel was getting bigger we wanted to do something like that and raise awareness of something whilst also making a good day out for the people coming and playing."
In addition, Oli detailed why Mind was chosen as the charity that the match would support, citing the link between mental health and football.
"I would say that Mind are the biggest mental health charity in the UK and me and Dan always say in our video, in our interviews when we talk to a guest we make a point of bringing up mental health.

"We interview a lot of footballers and in football mental health can be something that goes under the radar but we want to get the message out there for people who play football or just watch it to be more open about how they are feeling."
The Last Ditch has also launched an appeal to local businesses, with Oli and Dan encouraging any interested parties to get on board and help the Carlisle United fan community raise money for charity.
