A five hour event that sees people forage for food before enjoying a feast has been set up in Keswick.

Organised by Forage Box Ltd, the event will be run by a foraging expert, and includes tasting wild ingredients and a wild-inspired picnic at Bassenthwaite Lake Station, Keswick.

Three or four hours will be spent finding, identifying and tasting wild ingredients and preserves, before a big feast is served at the end, lasting between one and two hours.

Most of this is made by the foraging tutor in advance, but freshly-picked ingredients found on the day by the group will also be added to give an extra flourish to the meal.

The menu is also designed so that anyone with major food allergies, or vegan/vegetarian diets, doesn't feel too left out.

Tickets for the event, which is on Saturday March 30 from 9.30am until 2.30pm, cost £70 for adults or £45 for children and are available to buy via Eventbrite.
