A farmers' union is appealing to the public after two calves have gone missing.
It is thought that they - one male and one female - were stolen, and they were last seen in the Melmerby area in a field with mothers and over 30 others.
They are described as six-month limousin calves.
The NFU said they do not know when the calves were last seen, but asked anyone who saw anything suspicious in that area to call Appleby NFU at 017683 51324
