Wolves boss chooses Carlisle for first scouting trip

New Wolves manager Dean Saunders chose Brunton Park for one of his first scouting trips - with strikers at the top of his shopping list.
The new Molineux boss was in the Main Stand to watch Carlisle’s 1-0 win over Coventry.
Saunders had only been at the helm at his new club for a week when he made a check on the Blues and their opponents on Sunday.
The Welsh boss has already started the process of reshaping the squad left by axed predecessor Stale Solbakken. He is understood to be ready to ship out winger Adam Hammill to loan club Huddersfield on a permanent basis.
And Saunders has hinted strikers are top of his shopping list, meaning he may have been monitoring Blues’ captain Lee Miller.
Saunders, who started his reign with a 1-1 draw against Blackburn, said: “We’ve got 40 players and only three of them are strikers.
“It’s a bit of an imbalance in the squad. It’s obvious.”
United’s young players such as Brad Potts and Dave Symington have also been regularly scouted by Premier League and Championship clubs this season.

Have your say
Unlikely to be scouting Coventry there main striker is on loan, and Wolverhampton is a long way to travel for a football match.
So Sigurdarson isn't a striker then Deano?
