We want to win Leeds game for our fans, says Carlisle Utd boss

Carlisle United want to achieve the Wembley dream tonight to reward their die-hard supporters.
That is the view of manager Greg Abbott, who wants a vociferous Cumbrian backing for his team against Leeds in tonight’s JPT decider.
“The fans have been exceptional and when you think of those people who have travelled from Carlisle to places like Colchester and Exeter - they deserve medals and they are the type of people we want to get this result for,” the Blues boss said.
“We also want to keep the floaters coming through the gates.
“The bigger the crowd tonight, the better. If we can have 10,000 here being absolutely biased, berating the referee for every decision, getting behind us whenever we make a mistake, it makes a massive difference to the players.
“To have 10,000 people urging them on can be massive for us and we have to keep them behind us right through the game.”
Abbott admitted it is a “huge” night for himself as he hopes to achieve the result that would enable him to live the managerial dream of leading his team out at Wembley.
The manager - without cup-tied pair Darryl Duffy and Ben Marshall tonight - added: “It will be the toughest game we have had in a while, because they always are against Leeds.
“But we think we are a tough proposition as well.
“It will be a crackerjack game and one full of excitement. Let’s hope we are the ones who come out on top.”
Tonight’s game will go straight to a penalty shoot-out if Leeds level the tie on aggregate over the 90 minutes.
