A location manager who has worked on a string of movie blockbusters – including new James Bond film Skyfall – is to collect a top honour.
Mally Chung, from Carlisle, is to receive an honorary fellowship for his outstanding contribution to the film and television industry.
It is to be presented by the University of Cumbria during a ceremony on Friday.
As he embarked on a career that has so far seen him work all over the world and on movies starring the likes of Daniel Craig and Dame Helen Mirren, he studied a diploma at the Cumbria Institute of the Arts, now part of the university.
His is one of five honorary fellowships to be handed out to Cumbrians as part of graduation ceremonies to be held on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at Carlisle Cathedral.
Others include artist Julian Cooper and businesswoman Sarah Dunning, chief executive of Westmorland, the firm that owns Rheged, near Penrith.
