Really is getting tough

Running round the park in a Tee shirt in this weather, WHATS THAT ALL ABOUT ?

Local businessmen Stuart Roberts (left) and Dayle Cassidy are pledging to lose weight under the scrutiny of Evening Mail readers. We'll be following their progress in the Evening Mail as they're helped along their way by Ian Jones (right) of Park Leisure Centre. MILTON HAWORTH REF: 50028560B002

Ann Marie decided it would be a great idea to take us both running round Barrow park on wed's tea time. It was freezing cold and boy did we both wish we had packed a tracksuit top. Dale was hilarious wheezing away as we jogged along, mind you it was really biting cold and it did take your breath away.

We both lost 2 pound's each this week which was a good result considering the week before. Finding the weight loss a bit harder now as i feel as i'm stagnating at the mo and need another kick to get it going again. If anyone has any advice please feel free to comment on the wall and help us along ( Come on diet Police).

Barrow's and Ulverston's biggest loser's are still putting all our effort in to this project and would really appreciate any support that anyone out there can give us.

Got a big week and a half ahead now,                                                                                NO ALCOHOL,HARD SESSION'S DOWN THE GYM AND GONNA GO RUNNING ON THE DAY'S WHEN WE'RE NOT DOWN THE GYM. MOST OF ALL STICKING TO THE DIET LIKE GLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have your say

It always amazes me,the number of fat people who pass me in the street, biggest proportion by far are young women.
Gastric Bands are becoming the new excuse for fat peoples obesity.
Those who loose a small amount each week, will reap the rewards, and will be proud of their achievements, those who seek the gastric band approach, many should pay towards that treatment.
We have become a nation of junk food fatties
and many are not prepared to accept that exercise is good for you.
Get back to walking, instead of filling your gut with fast food and cheap booze, and except your life style may have something to do with the extra inches.

Stuart, Dale .... don't despair my friends. a 2lbs loss each week will be a fantastic result. If you do hit a "plateau" when you stop losing I have a little plan up my sleeve to kick-start your body back into action. No need to use it yet though ... you are both doing just fine, "Well Done" ... and I really hope you wore more than just a Tee-Shirt when you ran round the Park !!!!
