AS 2012 came to an end, William Howard School in Brampton paid tribute to pupils’ achievements over the past year.
It held a presentation evening in Carlisle Cathedral which featured a variety of success stories.
This was for youngsters in years 11 (15-16) and 13 (17-18) and was attended by more than 800 guests.
Sarah Foster and Martin Usher, the head girl and boy, gave a joint speech emphasising achievement and celebrating this.
Headteacher, Lorrayne Hughes, also pointed out in her address that this year’s exam results had been the best in the school’s history.
There was also a speech from Ian Kershaw, managing director of Northern Education, a company designed to help schools and academies.
The evening also featured music from the school’s choir and brass band before the pupils were invited up onto stage to be congratulated by the guests.
