good samaritan helps journalist
We always knew the people of Cumbria were extra special when it comes to helping others - but now it's official! Thanks to some Good Samaritans in Haverthwaite I am not having to spend the weekend in my snow-bound car!
This afternoon I, like many other motorists, was struggling to drive up a snow-covered hill at Haverthwaite on the way back to Barrow-In-Furness.
But just as my car was grinding to a halt, four villagers rallied round, and started pushing the car up the hill, and didn't give up until I was safely on my way.
Thank you - whoever you are!
You are a credit to yourselves, your village, and man(and woman)kind!
And your efforts are truly appreciated.
Does anyone else have any Good Samaritan stories to warm our spirits during the big freeze?
Please share them - and let's celebrate all the unsung heroes out there helping us all get through the big freeze.
