911 singer Lee Brennan is one of the stars of this year's Sleeping Beauty pantomime in Carlisle.

The city-born frontman will play the Prince in the Christmas spectacular at The Sands Centre.

Executive producer Jonathan Higgins is delighted that Lee - who played Aladdin in Chesterfield's panto last December and only made his musical theatre debut in April 2016 - has been signed up.

"We have been talking with Lee for a couple of years about 'coming home' to do panto and I'm so pleased that everything has worked out for this year's show.

"Lee has a huge following and having seen him in a recent performance of Footloose, I know that he will be perfect in the role of panto Prince."

Sleeping Beauty starts its run on Monday, December 11 with performances running until Sunday, December 31.

Tickets are available from the Sands.
