Style of food: Jasper’s is a coffee shop that prides itself on a very high standard of coffee and loose-leaf teas.
It offers a wide range of breakfasts, light lunches and snacks throughout the day. All of the scones, sausage rolls, quiches, soups and cakes are home-made. Selections of vegetarian and gluten free options are available.

Menu sample: Breakfasts include the St Bernard, a large, delicious classic Lakes breakfast of bacon, sausage, mushroom, egg, beans, tomatoes and toast (£7.50). A vegetarian option, The Great Dane, is available also.
The Old Yeller features local free-range eggs served in a delicious soft white or brown roll (£3.80) other dishes include crushed avocado on two slices of toast (£4); the King Cav, smoked salmon and scrambled free range eggs on white bagel (£6.50) and the Snoopy, fresh American-style pancakes served with bacon and maple syrup (£6).
The lunch range includes the Marley, a halloumi and chorizo combo with chilli jam served in a pitta with a side salad (£6.80); The Littlest Hobo, homemade sausage rolls (with or without chilli jam), served with hand cooked crisps and coleslaw (£3.50); sharing platters such as the Dog Tanian platter with chorizo, ham, Italian meats, with chilli jam, onion chutney, salad and a baguette (£11) and the Cheeky Chihauau a plate of nachos, melted mature cheddar cheese, guacamole, salsa and jalapenos.

In their own words: “We’re a coffee shop that serves great beverages and a wide selection a good quality food, giving some old favourites a more modern twist.
“With the wide range of fantastic cakes, scones and pastries, choosing your favourite is going to be the hardest task of the day.
“All served in pleasant surrounds by friendly staff, creating a vibrant and lively place to visit and a must see.”
