Decomposed body found on Lake District fell

A partially decomposed body has been found on a fell side close to Thirlmere.
The body, which was dressed in walking clothes and has yet to be identified, was found at 11.45am yesterday by a walker.
It is unknown how long the body had been there.
Keswick Mountain Rescue team removed the body and police are working with the coroners office to identify it.
A post mortem examination will be carried out.
