It has paid an undisclosed sum to buy Ripon Land Rover – which operates from a showroom in Ripon and a service centre at Leyburn – from Ripon Farm Services.
The investment comes as Lloyd Group nears completion of a state-of-the-art Jaguar/Land Rover showroom at Rosehill, Carlisle.
And it follows the group’s acquisition of Bateman of Lindale, a BMW/MINI dealership in south Cumbria, last summer.

Lloyd Group marks 40 years in business this year. It operates 20 dealerships in Cumbria, Lancashire, Newcastle, the Scottish Borders and now North Yorkshire.
Together with Lloyd Ltd, the agricultural machinery supplier, the business employs more than 1,000 people.
