The Times & Star is a three-edition broadsheet newspaper, based in Workington.
It is the main paid-for title covering the communities within the Allerdale district of West Cumbria.
The paper uses three dedicated editions for the towns of Workington, Maryport and Cockermouth to stay close to its readers.
Since the merger of the West Cumberland Times, Workington Star, Harrington Guardian and West Cumberland News in 1967, the Times & Star has provided the population of West Cumbria with an entertaining mix of local information.
It has offices at 21-23 Oxford Street, Workington, CA14 2AN 37 Senhouse Street, Maryport, CA15 6BL and at Mitchells Auction Rooms, Station Road, Cockermouth, CA13 9PZ.
The newspaper is part of independently-owned Cumbrian Newspapers, which also publishes The Cumberland News, News & Star, The Whitehaven News and east and west Gazette.
Cumbrian Newspapers is owned by CN Group, a media company that has newspaper and radio interests across Britain.
