Free way to learn to swim

Q I’ve heard that Free swimming lessons are available is this correct? I’d love to improve my ability in the water how do I go about this? A It is definitely never too late to start learning to swim! As an additional part of the Governments swim4life campaign, free swimming sessions are now on offer to ages 11 and over at swimming pools managed by Carlisle Leisure Limited.

The fantastic Rural Transport Scheme has been running in Workington since 2006 and enables children from all over Allerdale to attend the superb summer camp at Workington Leisure Centre without worrying about how to get there and back.Our superb summer camp runs Monday to Friday right throughout the school holiday. You can come along for the full week or you can pick and chose the days you would like. If you are aged 16 and under you can swim for free at your local Carlisle Leisure Limited pools.
