‘Ridiculous’ criticism of swimming pool
Published at 13:36, Thursday, 25 September 2008
I FIND some of the comments quite ridiculous regarding the glass windows of the new Hexham swimming pool (Courant, September 19).
Yes, it is possible for those determined enough to watch people swimming. Some of these could even go a step further and actually enter the premises, buy a drink and watch from the cafe.
And, wait for this, they could even pay at reception and actually enter the pool, ostensibly going for a swim.
For goodness sake, stop being so paranoid and enjoy the new pool for what it is – much better than the old one and with much better natural daylight from the big windows.
Oh and to Mr Ferries, who ‘will not allow’ his wife to go swimming for risk of being seen in a swimming costume – perhaps that should be her choice!
